This week, EpilepsyU, a part of the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida, hosted a webinar on “Neuropsychology and Epilepsy” featuring Dr. Lisa Gibbons, PhD, a Pediatric Neuropsychologist at Arnold Palmer Hospital.
What is Neuropsychology? Neuropsychology studies the structure and function of the brain as they relate to specific psychological processes and behaviors. It is seen as a clinical and experimental field of psychology that aims to study, assess, understand and treat behaviors directly related to brain functioning. Neuropsychology plays a vital role in the treatment of our epilepsy patients.
Check out the informational webinar below, as Dr. Gibbons discusses how neuropsychology can be beneficial to epilepsy patients, and answers questions submitted by viewers before and during the live chat.
